At Ian Grieve Service Centre, we diagnose and repair steering faults across the full range of system types, from traditional hydraulic power steering through to the electric power steering setups found on most modern vehicles and the more complex configurations on performance and EV models.

Steering problems are not something to drive around on. Whether it’s a vague, wandering feel on the motorway, heaviness at low speed, or a knocking noise through the wheel on uneven roads, something in the steering system needs attention, and the sooner it’s looked at, the better.

Symptoms that warrant an inspection

• The vehicle pulling to one side when driving straight
• Heaviness, stiffness, or inconsistency in the steering feel
• Knocking, clunking, or grinding when turning
• Excessive play or vagueness in the steering wheel
• A steering warning light on the dashboard
• Unusual noises from the steering column or rack area
